Dr. Pappas joined Skin Care Doctors in December of 2015. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, he went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine graduating Summa Cum Laude and Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Pappas completed his internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and continued on to dermatology training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 1995 to 1998. He has volunteered in annual melanoma screenings for 9 years and also as a volunteer for tattoo removal in prior gang members. Dr. Pappas is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology as well as a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Pappas grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where his parents and his in-laws still live. He currently resides in the St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife and two wonderful boys. Together they enjoy swimming and soccer while he personally has a strong interest in automobiles, motorcycles, and electronics. His family attends Saint Georges Greek Orthodox Church in St. Paul.
Dr. Pappas’ interests include skin cancer, MOHS surgery, psoriasis, eczema, and acne. He has performed over 3000 Mohs surgeries for non-melanoma skin cancer and reconstructive surgeries for skin cancer over his nearly 20 years of experience.
