Vein Therapy you can trust

Modern vein medicine requires extensive ultrasound and needle placement abilities. Some physicians feel that knowledge of conventional surgical techniques (i.e. “stripping”) is required or is advantageous in regards to modern vein techniques. This is simply not true. All of the minimally-invasive procedures used in vein medicine today are based on ultrasound imaging and needle placement— skills very different from conventional surgical techniques. Consequently, knowledge of conventional surgical techniques does not guarantee that a physician possesses the necessary skills specific to state-of-the-art, minimally-invasive vein care.

Dr. Dando recognized early in his vein career the importance of intensive ultrasound training and certification because it is the ability to perform precise ultrasound scanning during vein procedures that results in the best outcomes for our patients, along with providing the highest degree of safety.

Dr. Dando is available for patients in seven locations throughout the Twin Cities and North Dakota including; Fargo, Maple Grove, Burnsville, Edina, Orono and St. Cloud.

More Information

Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), also known as Endovenous laser therapy (EVLT), is a minimally invasive procedure used to correct venous reflux disease, also called chronic venous insufficiency. Venous reflux disease is the underlying pathology that causes varicose veins, and tired, heavy, achy legs.

Phlebectomy involves the removal of large, bulging surface veins through tiny needle punctures. It is typically done after the EVLA (endovenous laser ablation) procedure.

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. The procedure involves an injection of a solution directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together.
