Matthew Camp, M.D. – Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Matthew Camp, M.D., the son of a nurse and a Baptist minister, has chosen a fusion of the ministry provided by his parents as a guiding principle for his practice. His goal is to provide state of the art surgical and medical services, as well as serve the patient in a low stress, reassuring environment. Plastic surgeon, Dr. Camp’s, specialty interests are in soft tissue reconstruction after removal of skin cancers, breast reconstruction after mastectomy, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, face lift, and body contouring.
Dr. Camp graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Baltimore campus with a degree in biology. After working at John’s Hopkins Bayview campus studying the effects of aging on DNA, he proceeded to undertake advanced training at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in the fields of Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, and Anatomy. After obtaining his Medical Degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Dr. Camp then trained in Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He subsequently became certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and joined the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Prior to joining Skin Care Doctors, Dr. Camp served as an assistant professor in the department of Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic. He has been very active in academic study of medicine and is published in numerous medical journals regarding the effects of age on the human face.
Family life is very important to Dr. Camp. He is married and is the proud father of two daughters and a son. In the winter you can find him skating on the lake, and in the summer, out fishing on the boat. He is also a guitar enthusiast, and occasional song writer. He looks forward to meeting you!
